SpaceGodzilla is Practically Confirmed for the MonsterVerse
The MonsterVerse has just announced its next movie, with Godzilla x Kong: Supernova set to be released in 2027. There's already a lot of speculation about the direction of the movie, with the narrative elements somewhat hinted at in the movie's new teaser trailer. Still, there's the potential for several other Titans to appear, with Godzilla and Kong being only a few of the monsters involved.
SpaceGodzilla, Suko, and Mothra are some of the most obvious Titans that might appear in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, with fans theorizing that others are suggested by the movie's very title. Some potential candidates include kaiju that haven't been seen since Godzilla's Showa era movies. These include monsters from some of the most infamous Godzilla films of all time, though the MonsterVerse could certainly redeem them.
10 Fans are Already Buzzing for Gigan to Appear In the MonsterVerse
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Gigan

Gigan was one of the latter-day Showa era Godzilla enemies, debuting in his eponymous film Godzilla vs. Gigan. A sort of alien cyborg reptile kaiju, the vicious creature was created by the alien Nebulans to wreak havoc on Earth. This saw him teaming up with King Ghidorah, and his brutal appearance and attacks made him a fan favorite, despite his somewhat goofy origins.

Godzilla movies have entertained fans with bizarreness and sci-fi elements for decades, but fans still find a few details about the movies weird.

Gigan is known for being one of the first monsters to actually make Godzilla bleed, with his torso buzzsaw and hooks posing a major threat to enemies. Given that the teaser for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova suggests a threat from outer space, Gigan might be a logical choice. If he looks anything like his classic incarnation, the film could become the most violent MonsterVerse movie yet.

9 King Caesar Was Always Something of an Afterthought
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

Mechagodzilla was the real draw in his debut movie, and besides Godzilla himself, everything else was secondary. This is why the other kaiju who debuted in the movie isn't remembered much or used a lot, despite being seen as a benevolent deity. King Caesar was a strange kaiju based on the Chinese shisa (a mythological creature that's a sort of mix between a dog and a lion), and his humanoid stance and mammalian nature made him closer to Kong than Godzilla or his fellow reptiles.
The MonsterVerse already has certain Titans revered as deities, so King Caesar would fit in that regard. His role in the new movie wouldn't need to be major, but given that it's suggested that Titans worldwide are running amok, he could be briefly seen as one of them. If nothing else, it would keep him relevant and available to be used in a future movie.

8 Jet Jaguar Can Tap Into MCU Energy
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Megalon
Godzilla vs. Megalon was one of the more infamous movies in the franchise, namely due to its tone. While it's a fan-favorite among some viewers, it also cemented the kid-friendly, cartoonish tone of the series by the middle of the Showa era. This could also be seen in the fairly gaudy superhero robot Jet Jaguar, who could grow in size to fight enemies alongside Godzilla.

While Jet Jaguar might have been goofy in his original portrayal, he could be upgraded in the MonsterVerse. The MonsterVerse Jet Jaguar could be a piloted mecha meant to take down Godzilla, making it similar to the Jaegers in the Pacific Rim movies. This could also be used in a somewhat superheroic manner, oddly evoking something from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
7 Megalon Makes Perfect Sense In Hollow Earth
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Megalon
Debuting in Godzilla vs. Megalon alongside Jet Jaguar, Megalon is essentially an irradiated cockroach kaiju. His role was as the veritable guardian of an underground kingdom, with this civilization sending him to the surface due to the danger of environmental testing. This saw him team up with Gigan to take on both Godzilla and Jet Jaguar, the former of whom was essentially a guest star in his own movie.
Megalon is the perfect Titan to appear as at least a side enemy in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, namely if part of the movie takes place in Hollow Earth. There, his subterranean nature can be adapted and updated, with the kaiju perhaps being a native of Hollow Earth. Kong can face him on his way to the surface, with there perhaps being an entire species of Megalon in this environment.
6 Moguera Can Be an Anti-Titan Robot
First Appearance: The Mysterians

Moguera was a mole-like robot seen in the Showa era Toho movie The Mysterians, which theoretically wasn't connected to the Godzilla films. The mecha was later updated as M.O.G.U.E.R.A. in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, which was part of the series' Heisei era. There, it was able to split into two units, with one of these being critical in defeating the film's title monster.

Many fans already believe that SpaceGodzilla will be the villain in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, so adding a version of Moguera would arguably make sense. It can be characterized as a piloted mecha or drone used by Monarch to ward off or even aid the Titans. This would put humanity in control of its own destiny and give humans a fighting chance against the Titans instead of being at their mercy.

5 Shimo Made an Icy Impression in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
First Appearance: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

2024's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire went against the grain a bit by having the enemy Titans be entirely original. These were the ape Titan Skar King and Shimo, the latter of whom was a sort of giant reptile (with some mammalian elements) that possessed cryokinetic powers. Shimo began as a controlled slave of the Skar King before being freed, with the Titan soon coming to the aid of Godzilla and returning to Hollow Earth.
Shimo will likely appear in some capacity in the newest MonsterVerse movie, especially if Kong is established as initially being in Hollow Earth. The creature might not be pivotal to the plot, but she could easily appear later in the story to aid Kong and Godzilla once more. This would cement her as the Hollow Earth equivalent of Mothra, who is the queen of the Titans on the surface world.

Get ready to witness the ultimate brawl as Godzilla and Kong collide once more in a battle for supremacy in "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire." This explosive sequel throws open the doors to the Hollow Earth, unleashing an ancient threat that challenges the very existence of both Titans and humanity.
4 Desghidorah Can Reintroduce a Fan-Favorite Kaiju
First Appearance: Rebirth of Mothra

King Ghidorah was already introduced and killed off in the MonsterVerse, with part of his corpse also used to create Mechagodzilla in 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong. Many fans were disappointed by this development, especially since Ghidorah is usually one of Godzilla's most prominent enemies. Still, there are ways to bring him back in a different form, and this could adapt his various incarnations from across the years.

Desghidorah was a four-legged variant of King Ghidorah seen in the first Rebirth of Mothra movie, and it also had a darker complexion compared to the more mainstream incarnation of the villain. The MonsterVerse could use this character to bring Ghidorah back without retconning or undoing what was seen in previous movies. The origin of Heisei Ghidorah (who in that universe had more Earth-based origins) could be used for Desghidorah, though this might go against the seemingly alien threat hinted at by the trailer for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.

3 Battra Was Mothra's Own Evil Counterpart
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Mothra

Mothra is usually a kinder and more understanding monster compared to Godzilla, though she's still a guardian of the Earth that will wreak havoc on humanity if it damages the planet. On the other hand, she sometimes has a counterpart that's far more lethal in his pursuits. Battra is largely seen as closer to Godzilla than Mothra in terms of his personality, violently lashing out against humanity.
Battra might be an alien equivalent to Mothra in the MonsterVerse, perhaps being a partner to SpaceGodzilla. This would also be his first use in decades, as he hasn't been featured in a film since his cinematic debut. Most importantly, it would showcase that, for as environmental as they may be, some Titans go too far and truly are threats.

2 Biollante Is One of the Most Underrated Kaiju
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. Biollante

Biollante was the first new kaiju seen in the Heisei era, and the creature was actually a mix of plant life with Godzilla's own G-Cells. This gave the beast a vicious appearance that was incredibly unique among Toho kaiju, and Biollante was instantly beloved by fans. Sadly, she hasn't been used much in the franchise ever since, but she's been constantly requested as a potential addition to the MonsterVerse.

Biollante could once again be some sort of mutation created from Godzilla's genetics, whether it be accidentally or through intentionally man-made means. This can showcase the increasing threat of the Titans and how, despite being nature's guardians, they might also be somewhat unnatural. Biollante could be the result of trying to reverse pollution and restore the Earth's natural state and instead creating an even bigger problem.

1 SpaceGodzilla is Practically Confirmed for the MonsterVerse
First Appearance: Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla

Unlike Mechagodzilla, SpaceGodzilla is a wholly organic counterpart to Godzilla, being created from a combination of his G-Cells with a crystalline substance in outer space. This makes the beast even stronger, bulkier, and far more evil than the true Godzilla, complete with telekinetic powers and giant crystals on his shoulders. Coming to Earth after brutally beating the M.O.G.U.E.R.A. drone, he kidnaps Godzilla's adoptive son and wreaks havoc with his own crystal fortress.
Due to a binary code seen in the trailer for the movie, many fans believe that SpaceGodzilla will be in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. This would be a perfect change of pace from the previous movie, which had threats from and took place in Hollow Earth. Likewise, another "evil" Godzilla being featured in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova would be a good way to shift the focus back to Godzilla after Kong had become something of the main character in the MonsterVerse.
